Tamworth Heritage Magazine will be joining with with the Tamworth Genealogy Group and Tamworth History Group to create a display along with Kingsbury History Group and Ankerside Shopping Centre to showcase local history. This will be in Ankerside's Castle Square overlooking the Castle Grounds all day on the 14th September.

The Tamworth Heritage Magazine team visited the Magic Antic in Swadlingcote for a guided tour of their facilities and to see how they operate a fantastic archive of local heritage. Something that Tamworth should aspire to but in 24 years of the Heritage Trust has failed to do.

Originally it had been intended that Tamworth Heritage Magazine would be primarily for the Heritage Trust but due to the actions of the Chair at the time the decision was taken by the Editorial Team move the magazine to a completely independent status starting with Volume 1 Issue 2. The Magazine has been independent ever since.
Whist the first issue was Jan 2023, work began on the first issue just after the summer 2022. The first issue set the bar with 34 pages in a two column layout.
As Tamworth Heritage Magazine is quarterly we thought long and hard about the seasons for the issues settling on Winter for the first one as January and February are always dark and bleak. This meant the October-December issue would be Autumn.
